Mexican Food in La Jolla — Coming Spring 2026

El Pueblo's fifth location is coming to La Jolla's Pearl Street in Spring 2026. We're opening at 564 Pearl Street — the former Jack in the Box site — bringing the $1.29 fish taco, breakfast burritos, carne asada, and the full El Pueblo menu to La Jolla Village. The San Diego Union-Tribune covered the news; we've been working toward it since early 2026.

Locations four and a half miles north (Del Mar), ten miles northeast (Carmel Valley), and fourteen miles up the coast (Cardiff and Carlsbad) are open now. La Jolla joins them as the southernmost El Pueblo, within walking distance of La Jolla Cove, Scripps Park, and the shops along Prospect and Pearl.

What to Expect When We Open

The full El Pueblo menu — fish tacos, breakfast burritos, carne asada plates, enchiladas, quesadillas, chile rellenos, tortas, bowls, and kids options — all made fresh every day. Opening hours will run similar to our Del Mar and Carmel Valley kitchens (6am to midnight, seven days a week) pending final permitting.
