Cashier
El Pueblo is looking for energetic cashiers who want to provide excellent customer service. Cashiers are responsible for customer service, cash handling, proper food handling, ensuring orders are placed correctly and delivered quickly, cleaning, restocking, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to proper food handling guidelines and hygiene standards
- Ensure customer orders are taken and placed correctly
- Work to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station
- Restock necessary supplies such as napkins, straws, and utensils
- Collaborate with kitchen and wait staff for seamless order fulfillment
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally
- Accurately handle credit card and other payment transactions
- Follow all company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Strong commitment to exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of proper food handling and hygiene
- Attention to detail in order taking and placement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for totals and change
- Team collaboration skills
- Flexibility for varying shifts including weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus
- POS familiarity is advantageous
